    WAMX 3823 is former GP35 SLSF 700 built 3/1/1964.

It has been re-built into a GP35U with an upgraded (U suffix) new diesel engine and components to make it a GP38 equivalent.

It is currently located in Mansfield, LA at the International Paper plant where Watco does the contract switching.

Here she is, from the top, in her more dignified assignment.

Taken in the early 1970s from the Helm Street overpass about ten miles west of Dixon, MO.

    Trailing of three units.

Another former Frisco diesel still around.

Saw this picture while looking at WAMX diesel locomotives, and according to the information supplied, it is former Frisco GP35 SLSF 700.

Here is a link to the picture since it is not mine.

Still looking good in black and yellow. From what I can tell, it was converted into a GP35M-type locomotive a la Missouri Pacific's (MP) old program.

    Thanks Bob.

Always nice to find an active Frisco unit even if it has been highly modified.
