    Default Sawmill Pic 4 Fun

It's a bright sunny day and the old mill at Zalma is gearing up for a big order for the Frisco. The floor is all swept and the trusty old machinery has been oiled up in preparation. This old photo is probably the last ever taken of the steam powered saw.

Jim, I just love your old time photos. Would you please share how you do that? It would me most appreciative! That sawmill pic is awesome. You have to do another with crews and sawdust!

I'm embarrassed to say. It's my iPhone camera with an application called Art Camera that has different filters used to apply to photos. Easy to tweak and experiment with. Now my secret is out!

That's great. There are three or four good apps for iPhone, Android, etc., that do cool things. I'm no photographer but I have about 4 apps on my Android powered phone that take really cool photos.

    Jim -
Very nicely done. Even though I've not seen pictures of it, I wonder how closely this resembled the sawmill that some of my kin operated years ago in the Hurricane Creek-Plainview Church area of Bollinger County.

    Nicely done!

It's a twenty year old Woodland Scenics Rural Sawmill. They still offer it.
