I was looking for information on an unrelated article and stumbled on a bit of trivia. It may have been in the FMIG but the article stated that parts of the original grade were used for awhile after the new line up Hancock Hill was put in service. Anyone know if this is true? And if true, how long was the old line used? Would this arrrangement been covered by CTC? Thanks a bunch.

Larry,

Seems as though I have read and heard the same thing. While I would say it is true, I would be surprised to find out that this was done for any length of time and very doubtful the old alignment was ever considered for CTC. Although to my knowledge it was never signaled either, there was a new alignment made on the east side of Lebanon that for a brief period of time used both routes for east and west bound traffic.
