West Yards Diesel Shop

Between 1947 and 1954, the Frisco spent $7,014,100 on betterments in Springfield, MO. These included yard, diesel shop, diesel servicing facilities, light car repair yard, test laboratory, roadway repair and reclamation facilities storehouse and office.

I believe that my grandfather took this shot of the Diesel Shop as it neared completion during the winter of 1950.
