Here are four more pics from my "Enid" negative collection - these are SLSF GP7's in the o/w paint scheme:

SLSF 501, EMD GP7, 1500 HP, delivered 2/19/1950
SLSF 515, EMD GP7, 1500 HP, delivered 7/5/1950
SLSF 526, EMD GP7, 1500 HP, delivered 11/10/1950
SLSF 611, EMD GP7, 1500 HP, delivered 1/17/1952

SLSF 611 still has its steam generator in service - note the boiler exhaust stack on the short hood and the steam line connection pipe on the front face of the locomotive pilot. Note that SLSF 501 carries a Nathan horn, not the Frisco favorite Leslie.

Very nice photos, Ken, thanks for posting all the Enid ones you have been busy with. Although not as pretty as a color photo ... my dog thinks they are great :D.
The B/W ones many times show finer detail better than color, and I like that.

Ken,
Neat picture...I've read of the GP7s keeping the exhaust stack even after the boilers were removed. I've never noticed the steam lines, though...now I'm wondering if these were left on even after the innards were modified?

Regardless, yet another little fun detail to be modeled!

Chris -

I don't know for sure, but I would think once the boiler was removed, the steam line connections on each pilot face would be removed as well. Anybody know otherwise?

Here's another o/w Frisco GP7 pic from my "Enid" negative collection. This shows SLSF 611 coupled up to a Jordan spreader. The GP7 was a master of almost any task!
