Hi, everyone.

I'm in KC, having lived in Wichita and Winfield, KS, and Ponca City, OK.

I'm working on a freelance HO layout, and I collect some railroadiana. My favorite railroads are the Santa Fe, Missouri Pacific, Rio Grande, and - of course - the Frisco.

I've already found the forum to be useful - I am currently faced with a couple of different DCC installation issues, and I look forward to learning much more from the group.

Thanks for having this online community to share information!

Welcome to the forums.

BTW, what DCC system do you use?

Bruce, welcome to the group. It's good to have another Frisco modeler in the KC group: myself, mark, rick mcclellan, to name a few. Hope to meet you sometime soon.

Hello!

Thanks for the welcome. I can tell I'm going to like it here.

I have a Digitrax Zephyr system. I use a PR3 with JMRI computer software to connect my Mac for programming decoders (makes things MUCH easier) - though I'm still doing a lot of trial-and-error with getting lighting effects to do what I want.

Though most of my models are Santa Fe, I have picked up a few Frisco pieces here and there, though no locomotives as of yet.

At present, my layout is a generic location, so I can swap out different roads at will. I know a lot of modelers don't like that, but with my small setup at the moment, it's okay. I'll work for more accuracy on future projects.

Welcome aboard, Bruce; I went ahead and sent you an invitation to join the Kansas City Terminal Social Group. And, for what it's worth, others are welcome to join!

Best Regards,
