Greetings all! I live in SW Missouri (NW Arkansas transplant) and am really just beginning to explore my fascination with the Frisco.

I have a small N scale model railroad, which is eventually going to grow to feature a freelanced shortline. But in it's current arrangment, features alot of action by the Frisco. I am modeling a time period ranging from late 40's to no later than 1954, depending on what locomotives I feel like running. Currently I have Atlas VO-1000 #219 performing switch duties, and a custom painted GP-7 (#500, it was the easiest number to get off the decal sheet). I also run a 2-8-0 Consolidation in the freelanced livery. I am looking into growing the stable with a USRA Mikado in Frisco livery for local freight.

I am a railfan and enjoy watching the action on the KCS line from my rear porch. I also really enjoy railroad history, particularly concerning local and regional RR's.

Welcome aboard. If you are interested in local railroad history you might want to check out the four state area railroad historical group called the Heart of the Heartlands. Our museum is located less than one hour from Joplin in Cherokee County Kansas in an old mining camp named Carona. We have several members from the Joplin area and we are very active. We are in the planning stages of having a Frisco get together in Pittsburg in the fall of this year.

Thanks for the info, and the link. I have driven by the facility a few times and have been curious about it. I'll keep an eye on the excursion schedule and will make a day of checking it out and hopefully get a train ride to boot!
