GE 4 Stroke, 800 series

Anyone know what happened to these old boomers? They were my first introduction to 4 stroke diesels and the sound they made. I believe they were around 3,000 hp..........early 70s. B

Chuggers! The GE CB-FDL 4-cycle engine had a distinct chugging sound. You could always tell a U-boat was coming from the sound.

Power was 2500HP in Frisco's U25b's, 3000HP in Frisco's U30b's and B30-7's.
