New forum features

As we begin the improvement of FRISCO.org, we have the opportunity to change the structure, add things like old FMIG newsletters, and add random Frisco images to the home screen. This poll will help us improve your experience while visiting FRISCO.org.

Howdy folks,

Thanks for responding to the poll. There was overwhelming support for an FMIG newsletter section, so Doug Hughes (editor and founder of the newsletter) has agreed to work with me to scan the newsletters in. We have a section started titled FMIG & All Aboard Newsletters in the Interchange section. Keep checking back frequently for postings.

We've added a personal picture gallery, and you will see a few photos I posted in my gallery to get us going. You can access your personal picture gallery by going to User CP (top right menu item on the navigation bar, right under All Aboard. In the User CP, there is a panel on the left titled Networking. Under networking you'll see Pictures and Albums. Click Pictures and Albums, create an album, and begin uploading pictures to it. You can create more than one album.

We are still working on videos but that is an intended feature, too.

Hi Mike--I don't know about anybody else, but for me the forum features are fine as they are! Colors, catagories, etc. I don't see anything that needs changing. "If it ain't broke..." etc.

Howdy Tom,

Thanks for your note. The poll is a bit dated, but I used the responses to move the site to a new host with more room for the newsletters, plus added the personal file section. At this point, there isn't much we can't do, but it is important to keep up with the desires of our members. BTW, these changes weren't a fix, but an enhancement. ;)
