Freight Operations In Columbus, MS in the early 1950s

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me what locos the FRISCO used in Columbus, MS in the early 1950s and what freight operations took place in this area?

It's nearly 2 decades beyond what you've requested but in the meantime...I scrounged and found an employee timetable for the Southern Division (#48 - 2-2-1969) which shows two daily freights operating through Columbus.

It looks like the 900-series SD-45 units were permitted to operate between Columbus and Magnolia MS so backdating to the 1950s, I would have to guess that just about any diesel power could've found its way to town.
