View Full Version : Posting External Files?
Have others lost the ability to post external files? I've sent a couple of queries to Mike and Chris, but haven't received a reply.-keb-

Greetings Karl, I haven't received the email...I'll look into why. Would you mind resending so I can debug. As for posting, I checked your account and there doesn't appear to be a problem with it. Can you tell me where you were trying to post a file? Best Regards, mike

Good morning, gentlemen...
Tinkering around in the Admin section, no matter what I try (new thread, reply, quick reply, quote) the checkbox for "Attach Files" is missing. That's stating the obvious I realize and probably the limit of my ability! 8^) I'll tinker around and see if dumb luck smiles upon me.

Greetings, Unfortunately, our forum has been hacked by a hacker from Brazil. Every script is corrupted. I will have to rebuild and reload the site. Our service, vBulletin, just released a new version that fixes some of the security holes, so I'll work on upgrading and fixing the site this week. Thanks to Karl and TomD for letting us know about posting. Thanks for trying to fix it Chris. Best Regards, mike

Brazil? Frisco Folk must be far and wide. Otherwise a seemingly random act of vandalism?
Thanks for the update, Mike and thanks in advance for the work.
As a form of protest, I will avoid eating Brazil nuts and will not listen to "The Girl from Ipanema" for a month.
Best Regards,

LOL, keep eating Brazil nuts. It is a wonderful country, and the people are delightful. This hacker was just a thorn in the rose. Best Regards, mike
I sent the note to you via the web site internal "contact" mechanism. Perhaps the hacker messed up this as well. Thanks for looking after this.Time to switch to Linux

Yeah, I forget that tongue-in-cheek often doesn't translate too well in electronic forms! <g> I am all for good international relations and hope that it wasn't too biting or offensive. Thanks for humoring me!
