At one time someone hand drew a track plan with stations, businesses from Augusta to Wichita, It included areas the interest me that most because I am building free-mo modules for the Beech siding and Bonanza siding. I believe the gentleman that drew the schematic had a last name of Abernathy. Anyway I'm trying to find out which siding was first if you came from St.Louis and which way the sidings curved. Also what lengths were the sidings. Finally, I modeled the Dolese batch plant just west of rock road and was wondering if it had a station sign along the track or was just a business track. How long was its spur and how did they get the cement to the tower?
    Thanks,

    Larry,

Recommend you use the Forums tab and explore the wealth of information available on Frisco.org. The site also has a powerful search tool in the upper right corner.

Wichita Subdivision industry schematics are located in the Forums, Historical, Operations, Track Charts/Industry Schematics, Eastern Division Track Charts/Industry Schematics, Eastern Division - Wichita Sub Industry Schematics. They are in station order from the east. Please see the following link - http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index....ivision-wichita-sub-industry-schematics.9908/.

Your inquiry did not specify a time period of interest. Employee Timetables for many dates are located in the Forums, Historical, Operations, Timetables, Eastern Division Employee Timetables (ETTs). For this example see Eastern Division ETT 2, September 9, 1973, page 13. The station mile posts, capacity of tracks and connections are listed. Please see the following link - http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/eastern-division-ett-2-september-9-1973.10007/,

It is very rare for individual industries to be listed in Employee Timetables as a designated station. Dolese is not listed on the Wichita Subdivision as a station.

Wichita industry schematics are located in the Forums, Historical, Operations, Track Charts/Industry Schematics, Eastern Division Track Charts/Industry Schematics, Eastern Division - Wichita Industry Schematics. Zone 2 covers the Wichita Subdivision from the wye junction at Murdock and Wabash Avenue to the 17th and Oliver Team Track. Dolese Bros. Co. (Brothers Company) is listed in Zone 2 as an industry, but without a designated location number or other identifying location on the schematic (off map to east).

LandmarkHunter.com is a good online source for United States Geological Survey (USGS) Quadrangle maps. Similar to BridgeHunter.com one can search by state, county and specific locations. In this case you want Kansas, Sedgwick County, the Andover, Kansas 7.5 minute Quadrangle. There are several edition dates available. Another nice feature of the site is the ability to link to immediate adjoining maps for the 8 major compass quadrants (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) with a simple click.

On the 1961 edition, photorevised to 1982, it shows in the southwest quadrant of Rock Road and the Wichita Subdivision main line railroad crossing, a stub end siding opening to the west. On the map this is just north of the radio tower antennas for Wichita radio station KFH 1240 AM / 97.5 FM. Across the street in the southeast quadrant of the railroad grade crossing is a USGS Bench Mark (BM) with an elevation of 1,385 feet. Please see the following link - https://landmarkhunter.com/quad/1006.

Click on the desired map to download it as a PDF. Once the PDF opens you can zoom in and out.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
