The first one is in Port Barre LA. The RR there quit being Frisco affiliated around 1914, someone verify for me, a very long time ago.

My grandparents had a good friend that lived down in Webster Groves (or Glendale or wherever) on Frisco (Blvd, street, road?) with a large backyard that bordered the tracks. We went there for a backyard BBQ picnic one Sunday. A freight came along heading east. I didn't know about the Frisco back then (I was about 6 or 7), but to this day I remember the steam locomotive had a red symbol under the headlight. Guess what RR that was!

Webster Groves has "Frisco Avenue" and it is in 7 pieces. 1 is near Old Orchard, 2 are near Elm and the other four are between Rock Hill and Sappington.

All I remember is that it was a big back yard, with the tracks to the south of it. No street that I recall - was no doubt in the front of the house. Big house - the man was a high ranker at Wagner Electric. My grandfather was the night super there for many years.
The freight train had a big engine on it - I'm betting it was 4100 or bigger. I was 5 or 6, so it had to be close to the last days of steam on the SLSF. Funny that the thing I remember best is the red plate under the headlight. Don't know if it was a coonskin or a rectangle.
