Isaac Peria, it is good to have you join us!
Howdy folks! My name is Isaac. I live somewhere in the Alamo City and have been a fan of railroading since I was a boy. I was recommended this site by a fellow user named Robert J. Thomas (I don't know his handle here). My specialty is Pullman's fleet but I like to learn anything and everything new about...well...everything train related! I am hoping to model the Heavyweight (and eventually lightweight) Texas Special and model a few more Frisco stuff in HO Scale. I am currently the proud owner of a custom Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0 as Frisco 1318 (undecorated model with aftermarket decals) and a few Frisco HO Boxcars.
Outside of trains my interests usually range into things like anime, video games and other varied hobbies. Never hurts to have options! Glad to meet y'all, hope to make some new friends and make an impact here!
Isaac, Robert's username is rjthomas909.
Isaac, Ethan Lawrence (Iantha_Branch) is just a few years older than you and is in process of developing his model railroad in a new space. He has been documenting the process here: http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/the-future-iantha-branch.13766/
I wish I had the space for a layout. There ain't any good place in the house right now for anything that I want to do. I don't like loops, I want long straights and lots of curves. But at least when the time comes, what I do have will be ready for use once its all said and done. I'll have to check his stuff out, thank you for the recommendation.
Welcome aboard Isaac.
When the time comes that you do have space for a layout, you'll find a never ending stream of knowledge and experience on here to help guide you through the process. In the mean time, take a look around. We've got several on going layout threads, lots of historical documents and an extensive archive of old photos.
What the heck!!??? @TheAnimeRailfan, you live here in San Antonio. Hit me back on Facebook....
