I don' have a Frisco diesel and I want one. I have an analog, HO layout. If anyone has any type of orange & white Frisco diesel they would like to sell at a rock bottom price, reply or send me a private message...as long as it runs. (I don't have much luck with ebay.) Knuckle couplers are prefered but not required (I still have plenty of hook horns with a few transition cars. Send me a photo and a price and I'll let you know what I think. I think this is a good opportunity for someone transitioning from analog to DCC to depart with an analog loco and raise a little cash for a DCC loco at the same time. If you sell to me, I can assure you that your precious old analog loco will be in good hands. I will give this a couple of days to shop through any replies.

I know you said you don't have much luck with ebay, but there are still a few of the resently released Athearn Genesis GP15-1's floating around. But they are buy it now, not bid. but they probably aren't as easy on the wallet as you would like. I didn't have a spot for one of these in my fleet, but I have seen these and ran them in person and they are excellent models. Here is the link anyway:

And I also found a new run Bowser U25B at a good price, but it is an item you would have to bid on.

Hope you can find something you like.

In like manner, I also want any type of working, HO, diesel with an orange and green paint scheme with 4 letters. If you can't figure out what road name I'm talking about, ask me with a private message.

Thanks, Ethan, but since I don't need DCC, I'm sure that used analog locos will be much less expensive. I just hope someone sells...and at the right price.

Both of those I listed are analog loco's. They are DCC ready, which means you would still need to add a decoder if you so chose.

Just to clarify, I'm interested in buying a used orange and white, analog Frisco diesel, even one that is so old that it does NOT have the capability of ever becoming DCC. I don't care about DCC since a transition isn't in the budget for now. I realize DCC will run on analog but I will take any Frisco orange and white diesel that will run on an analog layout.

I have several. They belonged to my best friend, a Frisco modeler, who died two years ago. I have been selling his equipment as I have opportunity and sending the money to his widow. It has been awhile since I looked at what I have left. Maybe I can do that tomorrow (Aug 23) and get back to you. I can tell you what I have and you can tell me what interests you and I could send you photos of the ones you are interested in. I could also test track them to see how they run. I would certainly give you a good deal. This is a busy week for me, so I probably won't be able to give you everything you need to know in one day. But if you are patient . . .

    Brandon:

Larry will take good care of you. The friend of whom he references was Terry Murray, a minister and well respected Frisco modeler who lived here in Wichita, KS. Purchasing a loco of his will assure that a beloved part of his collection will live on and make an up and coming Frisco modeler happy.

Thanks so much Larry. This is exactly the kind of response I was hoping for. My dad is a pastor, not far from retirement... so being able to get one from Mr. Murray's collection and helping his widow at the same time would definitely be a story I would be proud of. This is a busy week for me too. No big rush! Just send pics when you can. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I'm still looking for a diesel of similar qualities in a BNSF scheme. (Please don't throw stones at me. HA)
