    Howdy folks,

At long last, we're making a few changes to FRISCo_Org that will significantly improve our ability to share resources and information about the FRISCo_Org

4-26-08: We turned the portal off for upgrade. You can still access all the FRISCo_Org posts and attachments.
4-27-08: We also completed the transfer of attachments (photos) to a different file system that works better with the large number of attachments FRISCo_Org has online (~5000).

The changes include making many of the old FMIG Newsletters and Frisco Museum's All Aboard Newsletters available online plus Frisco oriented video clips posted by members. We ask for your patience during these changes, since some may result in temporary unavailability of FRISCo_Org.

Thanks again for supporting FRISCo_Org with your posts of photos and discussions of the FRISCO.

    Best Regards,
    mike

    Howdy,

We'll be running the forum without the front end portal for a few days. All the FRISCo_Org files, photos, and discussions are still available. To see the posts since the last time you visited, click "New Posts" on the blue navigation bar near the top.

If the forum gives you any difficulties, please contact me at dispatcher@frisco.org.

    Best Regards,
    mike

Re: Upgrades and Changes to FRISCo_Org - 4-29-08 status

    Howdy folks,

To keep you informed about the FRISCo_Org upgrade process, we just completed a critical step of upgrading the FRISCo_Org software to the next generation release. There are many new features that may interest you, and we'll post a few notes later highlighting them. The polls reflect some of the changes that we can make.

On a personal note, I am slowing down on upgrade activities for a few days, as my wife just had surgery (I am sitting in her hospital room typing this message) to replace her crushed shoulder (nasty golf cart accident coming home from a round). I have been playing nurse for her, along with the help of our two wonderful kids. I am sure I won't have much free time for several days.
    Best Regards,
    mike
