For those interested, TRRA's publication on the METEOR is still available. The price is $44 plus five bucks for shipping. If you missed this the first time around, it might be worth scooping one up before they're gone (typically, the TRRA annuals on passenger trains are the first to sell out). It can be ordered through the TRRA web site at http://trra-hts.railfan.net/index.html

It is a very good issue to have.

I see there is a 2018 issue on the B&O’s National Limited. The table of contents shows some Frisco content. Does anyone have that issue? Is the Frisco related coverage worthwhile?

TRRA Technical & Historical Society's issue about The National Limited discusses sleepers that it carried from eastern points for connections with the Frisco. The coverage mirrors that given in the Meteor publication and adds some new information. For instance, Washington and Baltimore are expected origins for sleepers and are given extensive coverage. However, Philadelphia and New York (as Jersey City) are not so well-known because they did not last as long, but they are covered as well.

Agree the Meteor issue is a very good TRRA T&HS publication, on the subject of a beloved passenger train. Get one while you can! (Will sell out soon!)

And, the $64 question is .... does anyone have a spare copy of the earlier TRRA T&HS publication on the subject of the Texas Special? (Sold out)

Following the Meteor issue's release, I started working on Larry to do an issue on the Will Rogers. He is willing to consider that but not until some more time passes since the two Frisco train issues were published. Agreed that is appropriate.
