For those that are not able to log into the Archive one detail would be impossible see without blowing the photo up, but the other I can see without even clicking on the photo. I really didn't think it would be this tough. Roger
Oh, I thought there was a different logon to be able to supersize the photos. Well all I can say is it a major difference that separates it from the rest of the class. Tom, I'm really surprised you didn't get this, you'll want to model this one when it is figured out. Roger

OK I've had my fun, look at radiator grills. It's got a 2-piece GP38AC grill but it's a GP38-2 so it should have a 1-piece grill. Now supersize the stencil below the road #, it say "CMS GP38 2000hp" on the top line, "Springfield, MO." on the bottom line. Apparently Frisco was also confused. I figured since you just modeled 3 GP38AC's you would have caught it right off the bat.
Getting kind of gun shy here. But I cant make out the clasp type brake hangers, that would be typical of this kind of dual cylinder truck... Which also would explain the stenciling, and the B/O brake shoe. Undergoing shock therapy.

After a quick glance thru my photos the entire 1st order of GP38-2's (663-682) had this type of 2-piece grill. Roger
I'll be the first to admit that I won't be likely to figure any of these sorts of things out but it's a fun discussion and you fellows did notice a lot of small things in the picture that are worthy of note. I hope we can have similar discussions about some of the images that are posted. We have a LOT coming! Charlie
