Following this thread for the interest of lighting my Fredericksburg Depot. I am going to get a 1.8mm Soft White bulb with 14" leads. I want to hook this up to the decoder that has the function only that you have been discussing. Thanks y'all for helping Jim. It has helped me a lot. Manny
I finally sat down with an X-acto chisel blade and removed the caboose body from the frame. This is a nice quality wood kit and I was afraid I would chop it to pieces in doing so but it all went off without a hitch. I installed the lamps and soldered the wiring and hooked it up directly to DCC track power and I was very pleased with look. Now I just need to get a function decoder and provide some power pick ups and I'm in business. Check it out.
I got it all back together tonight and it looks pretty good. Until I get a function decoder I'm just using track power. I added some lead inside the caboose for added weight. Here's a photo and a short video showing the caboose rolling through Greenbrier. Oops! I forgot to reattach the ladders. I'll do that later. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/...9-97F0-CAB276992E22-1189-0000014033BD9E15.mp4
