Howdy from the far west, I live here in the Little Town of Williams, AZ with wife and a ugly PUG. this is the Jct of the BNSF Transcon & Peavine Lines + the Grand Canyon RR. My ties to the Frisco is from when I was a kid in the 50's-60's.
Born & Raise most of my younger life at 722 Frisco Ave in Oakland, Mo. With the Frisco RR in front of the house and the Mopac RR about 300 yards behind. Use to walk down the Frisco to go to Nipher jr high school or the Mopac when I went to Kirkwood High.
Spend alot of weekends out at the NMoT in Kirkwood or time down at the Frisco building being a pain or time at the Mopac Tower in Kirkwood, or hanging out at Lindlewood yard it must of paid off got to ride the headend once from St. louis to Newburg then back on the headend to Webster Groves, Mo on the Will Rogers #'s 3 & 4 not bad for a 12 year old.
But alas couldn't get a RR job after my miltary stink so was a OTR (Railfan) Trucker for over 26 years, Now a driver for Renzenberger out of Flagstaff, AZ supporting Amtrak & the BNSF. But still in love with my ROOTS of the Frisco. Enjoy the study of History and all of the Frisco & connecting lines especially in Missouri, have a fondness of the Cuba - Salem line & the Silgo Eastern.

Welcome, Pugman! I used to ride the school bus thru your neighborhood on my way to South County Tech. We had a couple of students in that area. I remember when the Frisco had to put in " shoo-flys" when I-44 was being built. Well, that dates me, doesn't it??!!
    Anyway, welcome aboard.:)
