Hello All--I have a question for the board--As the Texas Special changed tracks from the Frisco to MKT at Vinita, who's station did it stop at (or was it joint)? Looking at the modern layout, it seems the station would have been WEST of the junction, requiring a back-up move. Also, the modern area shows no evidence of a junction track on the southeast side of the crossing, which would require a fancy maneuver to back to the north, then head south. Any info? Thanks, Chris
The Texas Special didn't stop at Vinita. It went from the Frisco to the Katy on an interchange track and a15 MPH speed limit. They didn't make a back-up move. The interchange track was removed at some point. Tom G.

Karl, the link was kaputt when I tried it out. Maybe this one? http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/texas-special-interchange-track.1533/#post-8846 Best Regards,
Thanks, guys. I wouldn't have thought someone would have had that question before! I thought the same thing as one of the posts, that the S.E. Quadrant looked awfully small for a connecting track, but I guess it was so.
