How do I get Tapatalk (now Hangout) set to view same as the portal on the website? I have missed many posts on threads because I wasn't subscribed to the thread. I enjoy seeing all new threads and posts.

I still enjoy the website much better than the smart phone app at this point. Maybe I need to adjust the parameters in my Tapatalk. What is Hangout?
It shows to replace Tapatalk. I didn't know hangout was even there till I just tried to log-on. I'm tellin you this technology stuff is so quick.

Can I just stick with Tapatalk, or has one gone away for the other? My head hurts already.

    Tom,

I'm not sure what Hangout is but I do use Tapatalk all the time. The "Timeline" on Tapatalk is the same as the Activity Stream. If you look at that when you check in, you'll miss nothing. :)

Thanks Charlie, that works but cant see the random images. So, do I need to access the website via google or the like on the smart phone, to see the website as I would on my laptop or regular PC?

    Tom,

You don't need to use Google for any reason. If you just go to www.frisco.org in your web browser on your phone (or tablet) you will get the regular page.

The thing about this is, apps like Tapatalk are designed to simplify using the forum on a mobile device that has a smaller screen than a computer (in most cases). It just presents the data in a different way that makes the mobile device easy to use.

It does not show regular pages like the portal as you would see it on a web browser. Tapatalk makes it easy for me to keep track of Frisco.org and TrainBoard on my phone. I see all of the content being posted, but the pages are not the same (of course).

    I hope that makes sense.

OK got that Charlie it worked good for me using the browser. Now can I make the frisco.org a shortcut on the face of my phone for a one touch gateway to the org?
Now that would be cool. I use Verizon Droid Razr

    Re: Tapatalk forum website questions

    Tom,

Yes, Droid is Android so do this:
    1. Click "Apps" and when your apps come up, select the "Widgets" tab. That should be at the top.
    2. From your widgets, find "Forums-Shortcuts"
    3. Hold down on that icon and it will show the desktop of your phone/tablet.
    4. Drop the icon where you want it.
    5. If you have multiple forums (Frisco.org and TrainBoard for example) select the Frisco.org icon.
    6. That icon should now apear on the desktop of your phone.
