Take a look at this! Wow, is all I can say. Could you imagine a live steamer going over this and an amber catching that sucker on fire? Wow!

Ohhhhh! What a future nightmare!!! Plenty of Thompsons seal or clear Krylon. I do hope that maintenence is his thing! Taking care of track flat on the ground is enough.

Looks like Hagerman trestle on the old Colorado Midland. Wonder how many man hours went into the construction? The giant dog attack is cool! Where was the highest trestle located on the Frisco?

Sadly, the guy dismantled that trestle some years later, to replace it with a steel viaduct. I would have left the trestle. That was too cool.

    Great Tall Timber Termites Batman,

It was just too good to be true! Mabie the giant dog mistook it for a fire hydrant too many times and it just slowly rotted away?

Actually no. He made some changes in his railroad which facilitated the need to tear it down. He just decided to go with something more simplistic. Too bad it was so close to the house. It would have been spectacular to have a steam locomotive go across it, have simulated embers fly off the engine, and catch the trestle on fire, and watch it burn to the ground. That would have made an awesome video! Not trying to be sadistic, but that would have been cool!

If it HAD to go a fire wouldda been cool at that! Would have made a great place to hang the Diesel salesman when he called on the president to scrap steam like John Allen did on his Gorre & Daphetid!

Guess the timber ended up in the fireplace? A pity!
