I picked this little gem off of ebay for posterity. It came from a very old edition of Poor's Manual of Railroads. It shows the entire Frisco System of 1910 and connections on directly affiliated roads. I scanned it high resolution so it should be able to be printed very large if desired.
Very nice find, Keith. Had the "system" depicted on this map survived, one wonders how the Frisco of the second half of the 20th Century would have appeared. I don't think that the Frisco would have built the line to Pensacola or acquired the AT&N. No doubt, attempts to acquire the the Houston and Texas Central or plans to build a new line between DFW to the Gulf Coast would be a part of the Frisco's strategy during the teens and twenties. It's alway fun to speculate.
Thanks Kieth. This is very helpful. I've never been able to find a nice high res historic system map until now.
