SPROG II difficulty on a Mac

(For the record, I am researching this on the JMRI Yahoo group, too - but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask the friendly folks here.)

    Hi.

It seems that every time there's a software update on the computer, I have to hunt around to reset or re-install a couple of items to get JMRI to talk with my SPROG II.

I'm using an up-to-date Mac (OSX 10.7.2), my Java is up-to-date, and I just downloaded the latest JMRI. I checked, and my Java preference is for 32-bit, not 64.

When I looked at System Profiler, it sees the SPROG II connected to the USB port. However, I'm getting an error message regarding "feedback," so I can't use DecoderPro.

It's been a few months (and updates) since I've used DecoderPro, and every time in the past, I had to spend about half an hour getting it all working again.

But this time, I'm failing every time.

I'm a bit surprised - one would think that having everything updated would solve more issues than it would cause.

Are there other Mac & SPROG & JMRI users out there who have had similar experiences or can offer help?

    My thanks for your consideration

Bruce, Paul Bender (pbender) on this forum is closely involved with JMRI and DecoderPro. Send him a PM.

If you are working this trough the JMRI list, I will see it there. My SPROG-II Is a serial SPROG, so I am afraid I will not be much help.
