SLSF #24 F7A and consist Kansas City, 1969

    Found this online (St. Louis Area Railfan FB page). This is at Kansas City in 1969. Definitely worth a look.

    Amazing how quickly the Frisco painted engines into orange and white.

    However, that tendency did slow on their remaining 1st generation stuff as the years rolled by. (With notable "quirks", black & yellow GP7 #632, for example: Painted into orange & white just a month or two before leaving the roster!)

    I’m an exclusively steam guy but I have to say, man, that perfect diesel consist is exactly how God intended it to be.

    I ought to mention: Though my favorites photos of Frisco freight engines have engines that are in black and yellow, I have SO many memories of orange and white that I can't help but find the above pic appealing to me!

    Also, it's almost a perfect ABBBA set of Frisco O&W F7's! (Except for that one F3B!)
