What does that mean? The phrase is used in an article in the Paris Morning News on Sept. 1, 1916. The change in operation mentioned means the Frisco 1400s ran through to Dallas over the GC&SF (Santa Fe) from Paris.
Interesting find, and search me. I've not heard the term, but from context, perhaps it meant that the railroad would have to send out an extra from the division point onto its final destination in order to keep the awaiting division point passengers from having to wait any longer? It's really a SWAG; I'd be curious to hear others' hypotheses.
