    Hi all
Because of a new engine arriving I took the silent decoder out of an engine I plan on adding a sound decoder to. I already have the decoder, but not a speaker. Would it hurt it to wire up the sound decoder and run it with out a speaker attached?

Typically it is not good to try to run an amplifier circuit without a load. I would not recommend it.

BTW, what loco are you installing sound in? I can provide you with an appropriate speaker.

Litchfield Station is a very helpful vendor. I also have an Athearn Frisco SD40-2. Are you installing a Tsunami and if so which one? I might treat my SD40-2 to a decoder some day.

Just a word. Keith, made me a couple of speakers and the sound is really great. I would highly recommend you think about his offer. I am really happy with mine. It fit like a glove.

Wouldn't running a sound-equipped engine without a speaker be an oxymoron?:)

I don't know but it definitely would be a shame.
