This October, 1974 beauty was southbound today on UP/Rock Island. I caught them in North Fort Worth at a grade crossing when this came rolling by and managed to catch up with them as they stopped for the Tower 55 interlocker to get some photos. Amazing some of this equipment is still out there making revenue. Jeff

  3. Nice catch!!! Hadn't seen any cars with the coonskin on em lately. Last two Frisco cars I've seen were the BN green hopper cars with the SL-SF lettering. Too bad that car has all that stupid graffitti on it, atleast they didn't get the coonskin. Good catch though I qalways hope to see some Frisco cars when I'm waiting at grade crossing.

Great catch, Jeff. Like Murphy said, at least that taggers didn't mess with the coonskin. Also glad to see that it's current owner is maintaining it's original identity and number.

I seen a Frisco boxcar in a westbound consist west of Cuba in 2004. I believe that it was one of the beer colored "waffle" boxes. I didn't have the opportunity to photograph it, which is a bummer, because I haven't seen any SL-SF rolling stock since then.
