How do I go about adding a very short video? I have gotten the embedding thing down, but that is after the video is uploaded to youtube. I dont want to to upload it, just take it from a file on my laptop. Does it need to be a certain type of file? Did it some time back but I cant figure it out now. The file is in Windows Movie Maker now.
    Thanks in advance.

We figured it out, the file was still to large to upload, trimmed it up a bit, then it uploaded OK.
    Thanks for the help.

Again, let me reiterate, this issue will be fixed. It is going to take some investigation and I am getting someone to do this. I am sorry that it is taking so long but it is a pesky issue that appears a bit hard to solve. We will get it done though (this month).

    Thank you, Charlie.

I have edited my troop train post with the newspaper clipping photo of the 1953 accident on the River Division.

Well, that's good news. Sorry it took so long. I hope everyone else is working now too.

It's a different problem (and I haven't tried any attachments lately) but I sign in and start reading posts via the Portal page. If I do a reply, I get a message that I am not signed in; when I put in user and password, the Reply is posted. Can't remember is something like that was happening the last time I did try an attachment.

    Steve,

I am not sure that I am following what you are saying but I can tell you this after several years of using vBulletin: Most problems relating to logging in and out are cookie problems.

When you log in, you should always check "Remember me" unless you are using an unsecure computer from which you might walk away. This will solve most log in/log out problems.

Otherwise, people that use certain software packages to restrict cookies can see any number of strange behaviors.

Please advise if you need help.

This is a test. If it works, this is a J. L. Hoffman photo of 1518 in Tulsa in August 1947.
