Private Locomotives

    The (former) Kentucky Lumber company in Sulligent, AL owned some shay-type locomotives. They had a lumber yard in Sulligent and I'm sure the locomotives were used for hauling logs/lumber. Did they operate their private locomotives on KCM&B/Frisco lines or were they probably used on temporary lines built in the woods as spurs for logging? No one may have specific info for the KLC but I'm sure there were other operations like it on the Frisco.
