Can someone please reply with the price of a 24 pack of Atlas HO code 100 plastic rail joiners. Everytime I try to go to their PDF price list, my computer closes the tab.
If not atlasrr.com, Where can I get the lowest price+S/H to Alabama? I don't care about the brand, I just want some HO code 100 plastic rail joiners at the lowest cost possible.

I have had better luck using Peco plastic (insulated) joiners. They are a bit more stiff and will work better. I have found the Atlas ones to be too soft and easier to go out of alignment in the slightest bind. The Peco's might cost a little more but for me, they were worth it.

    To All:

There are at least two Internet Retailers that specialize in recurring purchase supply items such as track, roadbed, switch machines, trucks and couplers, etc. The two that come to mind to me are:

    Cherry Creek Hobbies
    http://www.cchobbies.com/

    Bill's Trains and Track
    http://www.billstrains.com/

I have dealt with Will Garrelt's at Cherry Creek Hobbies extensively and have recommended them to others on the forum who have purchased from them also. Unlike others who raise their prices immediately on existing stock to coincide with manufacturer increases, they only do when they have to reorder. For example, a couple of us have purchased Atlas turnouts at 20% off of the old price at a point after an increase had been announced. Also, they ship lightning fast and very reasonably. I have not dealt with Bill's but would welcome feedback from others who may have. That also applies to Cherry Creek.

I had to make a trip to Wichita this past week. I stopped at a couple of hobby shops to get some flex track. To say the least. I was shocked. $6.30 a stick, man . The last time I bought any it was only $3.75 or so. To say the least I will no longer be gluing down any of my track. All my RR buddies know I change my mind too often to be able to afford that any longer.

I have 2 hobbyshops at my disposal here in San Antonio, Dibbles Hobbies, which carries everything and has the largest supply of detail parts for the detail oriented modeler like me. But they dont carry much in the way of track except alot of short pieces, mostly atlas stuff. They always give a 10% discount too. But since I am going all code 70 for my layout, LIGAR Technologies which specializes in DCC Decoders and Sound systems as well as the DCC systems themselves, are about the cheapest I have seen in awhile. They sell the Code 70 Micro-engineering track in bundles of 6 pieces and the cost averages out to around 5.50 a stick. For ME that aint too shabby. Ligar is a shop owned by a father daughter team and Chelsey always does me right when I go in there. She had a FRISCO GP15-1 with DCC and Sound for sale not too long ago for $124.00 sad to say I was too late in getting it, but, She carries everything and will order what she dont have in and will give a discount everytime.

I can see how much her plastic rail joiners are and if they are under what they would cost you I can ship them to you.

Will, you may run into some issues trying to run Code 70 rail; primarily flange clearance on various pieces of rolling stock. Just be aware.

Exactly why I stopped at code 83.

I have swapped all my wheel sets out for KADEE semi-scale wheels and so far it has seemed to work. The flanges are low. MY worry is going to be derailments, but of course it wouldnt be like real railroading without a few of those.
