    Hi Y'all,

I need some help. I saw a few pics of 76/77 in the Steam Locomotive 2-8-0 folder, but I'm needing some more. If anyone has some, would you please post them? I'd appreciate it.

Mods, I didn't know exactly where this request belonged so please feel free to move it.

    Thanks!

    Well,

I kindly received some pictures from Jerome here on the board. Thank you very much. I followed through with

doing a Google search and found this:

    Mississippian Railroad Co.

    Good stuff!

Then after tracing the where-about of 76, I find this photo of her. This is how she is sitting. Disgusting!

Although this is a very sad picture, it gives great info on the valve gear and cross member guide.

If you have any other pics, please let me know. The Mellor kit arrives tomorrow. I can't wait.

SABRR, that second link makes me very sad. That loco spent a lot of time in southeast Missouri. My grandfather claimed that was the loco used when he worked for the Frisco taking up the portion of the Leachville sub from near Gulf jct. to Brooks jct. and then from Vanduser to Bloomfield. Sad, so sad. I wish I could rescue her.

I do too! If I had the money I would purchase her and restore her completely. I know this sounds weird, but it has always been a dream of mine to own, restore and operate a steam locomotive. I'm a rare bird that believes that these giants should be preserved at all cost. Without them, America would not be the nation she is.

Congrats on finding one of those fun kits. The resulting boiler seems a little "fat" on mine plus the crossheads being wrong, but enjoy and post photos.
