Pacific, MO. Photograph dated 7/16/2002. Edit 3/26/2024: The structure in this photograph is the former Missouri Pacific (MP) Railroad freight house. It has been relocated from its former location north of the MP tracks to the city parkland south of the Frisco tracks. MKD
Pacific, MO depot. Here is a nice little scene at Pacific, MO from around 1914. 4-6-0 SLSF 564 is doing some local switching while another small engine, which appears to be a 4-4-0 is ready to cross the road. Shot is looking west from the east side of the depot.
Pacific, MO First photograph is the city's Station Plaza Park and pavilion. Second photograph is the grade crossing signal instrument bungalow or case at Main Street, MP 34.1 Third photograph is the former depot site. The city park is to the immediate south or right. Fourth photograph is a successor railroad caboose in the city park. Too bad it is not a Frisco caboose painted in the appropriate colors and scheme.
I saw your post the other day, but I was in a hurry to get to St. Louis and forgot about the marker. I will look for it on the next trip.
It is on the north side of the commuter parking lot between the Missouri Pacific (MP) and Frisco tracks. Sorry, the road names will never change for me! Maybe the next time you are up this way, some of us Frisco folks can get together. DeAngelo's has great food! Dan
