This is an old spittoon I bought a few years ago. The iron was badly pitted from corrosion, and it appears that a previous owner painted the iron flat black in order to stop the rust. Where the enamel is missing it appears those spots were painted white. Thought everyone on here would enjoy seeing this. I've not seen one like it before.
