Can anyone give me the dimensions (Width/Height) of an actual 1500 class, front end, coonskin number plate? I want to make a 1:4 scale number plate for my 1500 class themed bbq grill.

How about 10-1/2" tall tip to tip and 20-1/2" wide tip to tip?

Don, I think the dims you posted are for the "Hancock" full data plates. The dims I have for the single headlight mount/number plate casting is 22 3/4 x 11 1/2. Not sure about the sheet metal and bracket plates such as was on the 1632. Jeff

This sounds more accurate to me. I measured a picture and the number plate width seemed to be about 1/4 the width of the boiler diameter at the front. The height of the plate seemed to be about 1/2 of the width. 22.75 x 11.5 seems to be what I was looking for. 1:4 scale for my bbq grill would be roughly 5 & 11/16" x 2 & 7/8." I'll probably round up to 6"x3" which is exactly what I had estimated from the picture measurements and my fading memory of the diameter of the 1522's boiler at the front...89"? Thanks, Jeff.

You're right Jeff, I just threw a tape on the plaster casting of the 503 I had here. I remember now thinking they were about 12x24, but your number sounds better.
