Newburg depot

  1. My dad was going through some photos the other day and I spotted these. They were from my grandma's collection we need to sort and scan. Thought some of you would enjoy them though.

Wonderful pictures! Thank you so much for sharing them.

The telegraph/telephone pole pictures: Is that Newburg also? Appears to have a different depot in the first pic... so wondering if you know the location of those pictures?

Wonderful pics of Newburg! All you need now is a pic of the "Texaco Station" depot to make it a complete collection.

Agree the telephone pole pics might be at a different location. The background views don't suggest Newburg to my eye. And the depot has different features.

ps - As I have often said, during the steam era Newburg was the Valhalla of Friscodom in my opinion.

I like the old "barn" best. I think it was originally the Fred Harvey restaurant, later became the depot and then was remodeled into an ugly box.

  6. My dad and I discussed the mystery town/depot in these. I'll ask tomorrow if he figured anything out. Heaven forbid he post here! HAHAHA
