Going to try this New member intro: I joined this group because I am doing some research for the history of Neosho County ( Kansas) and its rail history. I currently live just off the BNSF T-con ( about MP 226). Between Wichita and Wellington. I found this site while doing some research on James Joy, and his 'Boarder Tier RR' in Southeast Kansas.
I grew up in 1950's/60's Memphis,Tn. an old family friend was a long-time SL-SF employee, who had retired back in the middle 1950's. He was Superintendent of the Memphis Terminal, and its new addition at Capleville,Tn ( The Tennessee Yard). They called him " Brigham"Young. and through his graces, I was able to meet many folks at the Yard, and in the Memphis Terminal. Those were very different times around the railroad; different than they are these days. I Used to ride the Frisco between Memphis,(occasionally Atlanta) Springfield, and Tulsa.. There was nothing like Breakfast, or other meals in the dining cars, riding along the Spring River and through Arkansas.

Thank You, Charlie: Appreciate your help. Still trying to balance, the training wheels on my bicycle are still necessary.
