Hello from Nuevo. I am a longtime railroad fan. Hoping to gain some knowledge from you members about railroad collectibles and vacation destinations that are railroad inspired. Thanks.
Welcome to the Frisco website Laura!!! If you are in the area of northwest Arkansas there is an excursion train from Ft, Smith to Winslow that is highly recommended. It is run by the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad that was built by Frisco in the late 1800's. There are three tall steal trestles and a tunnel on the trip. The fall season is best time to go with the trees in full color. Joe
Hi Laura Welcome to Frisco.org. I hope you can get the information you seek. Feel free to ask. There are many knowledgeable folks here.
Laura, Welcome Aboard! As Joe indicated the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad has an excellent excursion train that runs between Rogers and Van Buren Ar. It runs into the Boston Mountains, through a tunnel and across multiple high trestles that offer wonderful views of the surrounding mountainsides that are most impressive when the fall colors come in (late September/early October). In Bentonville, Ar (just 30 miles north of Rogers), there is a very impressive fine art gallery, Crystal Bridges, featuring classical American art as well as special exhibits. I highly recommend it as well.
