Jon Aldridge here, Springfield, Missouri. I was a locomotive engineer on the Frisco/BN for 10 years back in the 70's & 80's. I found this forum while doing a little research on Frisco diesl power and thought I'd see what it's all about. I used to build HO engine consists mounted on oak "panel rail" for folks, mostly GP-38's and SD-45's in the orange and white scheme. From where I live here in Springfield I can look out my kitchen window and see the 4524's nose. I'm a little new to forums so if someone send a note and I don't respond immediately, it's probably because I haven't figured out how yet. Just be patient, you know how hogheads are. Jon

Hello, Jon, Good to have you here. I am a transplanted Springfield boy, [ 55 years young at last count!]. I have very fond memories of the home town. Most of my McGilvry family worked for the Frisco in one way or another. Every time I am back, I try to re-visit the old haunts- the yards, or whats left of them, Grant Beach Park and others. I am going to try and ask a few of my cousins if they may have some Frisco stuff they would be willing to share with our group. All the best, Dan
WElcome Jon! Nice to have you here with us. If you dont know how we will explain it to ya, but from one hog head to another, I know, we'll get it sooner or later! Welcome aboard Jon! Will
