That looks pretty doggone close to what I've seen in Paris, TX. Methinks I could take that kit, cut it in half lengthwise, and use it along a wall or backdrop next to the grain elevator to get what I need. It could easily find a home around these here parts...... ;)

I'm wondering what the era of the Springfield building was and when the green corrugation was applied?? Was that siding original?? I'm a native Springfieldian and I remeber that building being there a long time, but and I don't recall when it was built.

Photos of the Marshfield, MO MFA plant. Not a board for board copy, but this is the main prototype plant we based our new kit on.

Just ordered mine today, these show in stock now. Should make a nice addition, seems like I seen these all over the midwest.

Found this in a drawer, not a good photo.
Trying to think where this is?
Can't quite make the name out, Mt Vernon line, maybe?

Any idea when this was taken, might be printed on the back.

    Dale,

What kind of cars would be used at this facility? C6 hoppers, 40' boxcars? I don't think the Hi-line was capable of handling 286,000-lbs cars so I'm wondering what other kinds would be used on branchlines.

Roger, after a jog in my memory, I got to take a hyrail trip up the line right before they took up the track.
The back printed, say's May, 80.

Interesting, got any more? Here's what it look like 15 years later in 1995.

Thanks to all for identifying the area, brings back some of my memory of the line.
I will look, we hyrailed and I shot what I thought was neat. Great that you have a later photo. The Boliver line was Northern seniority, so I didn't work up their much. This was a site seeing trip.
That was quite the project, most all the rail and OTM, (other track material) was hauled by truck and trailer to approved scrap dealers.

Thanks Bill. Any more photos of the High Line to share?

Here is the fertilizer plant again in 2011.

Pretty sure this is somewhere on the Clinton line, I shot it because the sides of the cut was narrow, which was typical of branch lines. Again not a real good shot, 1980.

That is a narrow cut! My guess is somewhere between Weaubleau and Osceola. Will have to look at some topo maps and see if I can find it. Wonder if Derrick recognizes it from his Vscale railroading build?

Thanks again for sharing the photos Bill. I am thrilled to see anything from this line.

Speaking of not remembering where it is, thought some might like to see this tunnel clearance tool.

I finished my two N-scale kits this week.

I think they turned out pretty well:

Good lookin' builidngs, Paul. The MFA building looks right at home anywhere on a Missouri-based layout in the Frisco's twilight era.
