Thanks for a neat post. My Grandmother Brand, nee Litzelfelner was born in Neelys Landing, and the passing track, "Brand" , which was named for my Grandfather Brand was just south of there. I always thought that it was nice that Brand was just down the track from Neelys. August Litzelfelner, who is named in the article was my Great, Great Uncle.

Awesome article. My favorite "cruising" rode went right through there! There's a great old cemetery on the bluff overlooking Neely's Landing.

I was in Neely's Landing not long ago, thinking it might be a good spot for photos. With respect, it is barely recognizable as a town. There are two or three buildings and some residences scattered along the road, and that is about it.
