Hello, I need help, I am trying to find this car. This railcar is an Private Railcar owned by R.C. Kerens. This private car was named "The Katharyne". This private Railcar, "The Katharyne", was a frequent visitor to Eureka Springs, Ark. "The Katharyne" is now owned by a differment owner and been renamed "The Estelle". I am wondering if anyone can help me find this private railcar. For more information on "The Katharyne" you can go to my website at http://www.savingesnarailroad.com. Link under "The Katharyne". Here are some pictures of this private railcar: Brian Waller
Good question, Does this Private Railcar "The Katharyne" or "The Estelle" still exists?? Well I think this Private Railcar still exists or why is it named "The Estelle"?? From what I have found from researching I think this railcar still exists. I think it is in Calfornia, but I am not sure. I have been searching the internet, railroad museums, and all railroads in the USA. I have not found it yet, but I am still looking. Here is more information that I found about this Private Railcar, "The Katharyne" was built in 1894 by Pullman for R.C. Kerens, Lot #2083, Plan 1115A. This Private Railcar was name "The Katharyne" but it is now name "The Estelle". I am asking for help in trying to find this Private Railcar, because I want to know if this car still exists and what condition it may be in. I am hoping that everyone from Frisco.org can help me, because everyone here is from all over the USA and world. So please can anyone help me. Brian Waller
I did some more research on this Private Railcar "The Katharyne" or known as "The Estelle". The person who bought this after R.C. Kerens was Edward Doheny in 1902. As of 1914 "The Estelle" still exsits. I am still searching for its. Brian Waller
Hello, I am still looking for any help in finding this private railcar, The Estelle, last known location was LA, Calif. I am asking for anyone help in trying to find this car. Please Help Me. Brian Waller
Look, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but unless you have solid documentation that this car existed at least as recently as 1980 you should stop wasting your time and cluttering up this list. The notion that a 19thC wooden private car last heard of in 1918 has somehow managed to exist for the last 92 years without anyone anywhere having knowledge of it is preposterous. Get over it -- this car does not exist. Gordon
Gordon, I don't know if this Private Railcar still exists. But I am having alot of peoples in LA, Calif., looking for this car. I will know more if anyone from LA, Calif., tell me if this private railcar exists or not. When I do get any more information on this railcar, I will proved to you and everyone else here that this private railcar exist or not. To All, I am still asking for help in finding this Private Railcar. Please help me. Brian Waller
I agree, this is becoming very tiresome, brian please grow up and start your own forum and leave this one to the frisco as you have been asked nicely so many times. Craig
Here are 2 shots. One in consist and the other is a just out-shopped close up. ; ) Can't we have a little fun once in awhile?
Im with the fella's on this one. This forum is for FRISCO related items only. Every once in awhile, other railroads are mentioned and after the mention, the conversation goes back into FRISCO related topics. NOW.......everytime I get on here I see something about the ES&NA railroad, I understand the passion behind wanting to save the railroad and connect it with the once FRISCO mainline, which now belongs to the M&NA, which with the economy of our nation and the strict rules the railroads have to follow now mandated by the FEDERAL RAILROAD ADMINISTRATION, all of this is virtually impossible unless you got alot of money. I would personally like to see this forum be FRISCO Related and the ES&NA go somewhere else. As per my other comment, it is bad enough that we see so much of the memory of the FRISCO fading away all the time and having only the memory of a STILL GREAT RAILROAD, to satisfy my interests in a a modeling capacity. I dont need it clouded by a foreign railroad which had little if anything at all to do with the FRISCO RAILROAD. If I am out of line here, some of you other fella's please tell me, but I have to agree with the feelings of others on this one.
