Hello from sunny Naples, Florida. We are not quite all moved in yet, but getting close. Lot's of work, but the move went generally well. We did suffer a little damage to some furniture - the truck had a 53-ft monster trailer, jam packed full. We were the third of three shippers to get unloaded, so I guess it was likely we would have a bit of damage. The fix-it guy came by today and did a nice job on everything except Caroline's prize dining room table, which had some rub marks on it. He'll be coming back to try again on that!

But, we are comfortable in the new place, which is really nice, and are enjoying meeting our new neighbors. Had the first (of many) parties Monday night, and met a fanatical St Louis Blues fan who lives here. Go Blues! We're gunna be OK - I'm sure there are a few Cardinal fans here as well. Lot's of 'bird fans in Naples.

Boxes of railroad stuff are starting to appear as we get to them - saved them for last. I plan to thin down what I have even more than all that flew out the door in St Louis so I'll start posting stuff shortly both here on frisco.org and on eBay. Mostly locomotives (still have lots), freight & passenger cars, books, Frisco stuff, etc; most everything else is gone. I'm having some computer and scanning issues I need to resolve before I start posting. I'll try to offer true bargains, but it will not be the fire sale I had in St Louis. Those you who participated back in August truly helped out a lot; thanks! I would not have been able to haul everything down here. I hope you are enjoying your items.

We both are Florida residents now (as of late March) and it's official after we passed the "183 days out of Missouri in 2016" test. Tomorrow will be interesting - you can vote in elections early here; voting opened October 24. We plan to do so tomorrow. We voted absentee in the August 30 Florida primary, but now it's the big show. Per the news, voter turnout has been huge so far this week. The TV commercials are overwhelming!

Good to hear from you, Ken. Impossible to move without some scratches, dents, and scrapes. I have done it too many times in my life. Best Wishes in your new home.

Congratulations on your new home Ken. Florida is a great place to live. I've been to Kennedy Space Center, to work, several times and have some great memories. I enjoyed the big salt water pond the most. If you are ever in Titusville go to Dixie Crossroads for an outstanding dinner. The Rock Shrimp is their specialty and the prices are very reasonable.

At least one of the "Lines South" is always on the stack for bedtime reading. These tell the SAL/ACL/SCL stories very professionally. That Frisco is mentioned (as a connection) and photos of PRR equipment (on the Florida trains) appear from time-to-time enhances the joy of reading them.

Here's an item you Frisco passenger buffs might be interested in. A HO, Walthers "Trainline" 60-ft heavyweight clestorey (sp?) roof baggage car, six wheel trucks, undecorated, diaphragms, hand rails, Kadee compatible couplers, metal RP25 wheels, instruction sheet, all included in original box. This is a new, unused item. A few of us in frisco.org have used this model for a very close version of a typical Frisco 60-ft heavyweight baggage car. I was going to do it as SLSF 394 - very close though 394 has a three-window and a four-window baggage doors; the model has two four-window doors. This is a very nice model of a typical, unglamorous baggage car on the SLSF. I have another I'm keeping. See the pics of the car first time it has been out of the box.

The car's list price at Tinkertown was $29.98. I'll sell it for $13.00, plus $7.00 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Let me know via a PM to meteor910 if you are interested. Payment by PayPal "friends & family" preferred, though a check also works. Thanks.

Well, the Walthers 60-ft baggage car sold. Nice car, wise purchase, a bargain.

Here's another item which may be of interest:

Tangent Models #10522, a Frisco PS4000 covered hopper, done as SLSF 81101. New in the box (it was out of the box for a while on display on one of my shelves). Essentially mint. Excellent detail typical of Tangent. Excellent paint and crisp lettering, metal wheels in 100-ton roller bearing trucks, class LO, new 8/63, Kadee compatible couplers, air hoses. In original box. See pic.
Sale price: $18 plus $7 shipping via USPS Priority Mail, $25 total. Payment via PayPal "Friends & Family" so there is no fee, or via personal check. Send me a PM if interested. Thanks.

Here's another (I really like this one):

Fox Valley #30317, a B&O M-53 class 40-ft wagon top box car, Youngstown doors, metal wheels, Kadee compatible couplers, brake hoses, done as B&O 380554. Very nice - excellent paint, crisp lettering. New in the box. Essentially mint. Excellent detail. See pic. B&O capitol dome logo.
Sale price: $18 plus $7 shipping via USPS Priority Mail, $25 total. Payment via PayPal "Friends & Family" so there is no fee, or via personal check. Send me a PM if interested. Thanks.

    And yet another:

Athearn #74173, an ex-ATSF Frisco caboose, done in the correct shade of red, done as SLSF 1145 with the "Ship it" logo. I did not do any of the underbody detail changes the Frisco made to these Santa Fe cabs, kept it as Athearn did it. But, extra details have been added - Tichy caboose leaf spring trucks with Kadee wheels, Kadee couplers, marker lights, brake hoses, and (I shouldn't have, but I like 'em) - a red rear beacon with a MV lens. Very nice - excellent paint, crisp lettering. New in the box. Essentially mint, but I did run it a bit. See pic.
Sale price: $13 plus $7 shipping via USPS Priority Mail, $20 total. Payment via PayPal "Friends & Family" so there is no fee, or via personal check. Send me a PM if interested. Thanks.

    Tom, Matt -

OK, you two friends are the winners! Thanks, glad to see these items will be heading your way.

Tom - For the Tangent SLSF LO, cost is $18 plus $7 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Please send me your address again, as my St Louis records I'm afraid are lost in the chaos of the move! Payment via personal check is fine, or if you desire, via PayPal "friends and family" option so there is no fee.

Matt - Thanks! Good to hear from you again. Hope you are enjoying all the L&N stuff. Cost for the red athearn Frisco ex-ATSF crummy is $13, plus the $7 for shipment via USPS Priority Mail. As per Tom's notice above, payment via check or PayPal "friends & family" is fine, your choice. Also, please send me your address again!

PayPal payments should go: to meteor910@mindspring.com

Check payments should go to Ken Wulfert, at:
    7117 Pelican Bay Blvd
    Unit 1505
    Naples, FL 34108-5563

    Thanks guys! Enjoy your items.

    Ken

ps - I can't believe none of you frisco.org folks are going for the Fox Valley B&O "wagon top" 40-ft box car. Excellent model, unique car, seen often on the Frisco. I saw several of them run through Rolla while I was at MSM. I have two of them - this one from Fox Valley, the other from, I think, Intermountain, which will also be posted later, after I find it! Both excellent models, different road names, different door styles.

OK, a couple of you have asked "Where are the promised locomotives?" Most of the models I brought down to Florida were locomotives. Most of them will be offered. Here are the first two.

o Atlas Classic, Item #8357, Frisco HO GP7 locomotive, road number SLSF 500, black and yellow livery. See pic. New in box, was out of the box for a while on display, but not used. In original box with all Atlas paperwork. DC, no sound. Box did sustain some wrinkling in the move to Florida, but the model was unaffected inside in its strong protection in the box. Cost new for this item at Tinkertown was $79. See pic.
Cost for this hard to find GP7 is $71, plus $9.00 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Payment via personal check from frisco.org member, or via PayPal friends & family" option so there is no fee.

o Atlas Master, Item #9165, Frisco HO GP38 locomotive, road number SLSF 636, orange and white livery. See pic. New in box, was out of the box for a while on display, but not used. In original box with all Atlas paperwork. DC, no sound. Cost new for this item at Tinkertown was around $90 as I recall. See pic.
Cost for this hard to find GP38 is $71, plus $9.00 shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Payment via personal check from frisco.org member, or via PayPal friends & family" option so there is no fee.

Let me know. Thanks. More coming soon.

Sorry for the delay - I'll try to get some more items posted later today.

Being a clumsy oaf, I badly sprained my left ankle and had to go to the hospital yesterday for treatment. No broken bones, no clots, so it is just a bad sprain. Having trouble getting around though.

So far, we still have the Atlas GP38 and the Fox Valley B&O M-53 wagon top box car available. Both very nice models.
