Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine is not new. The August 2011 on-line issue is number 18. Subscriptions are free and each issue contains more than 100 pages of solid model railroad news, articals, and much more.

The feature layout for August is a huge HO scale layout based on the Kansas City Southern including Kansas City Union Station. Both day and night scenes are possible including a thunderstorm!

A feature on modeling cattle guards is also to be found in the August issue. As a youngster in Farmers Branch, Texas, there was a cattle guard on the Frisco line behind our farm off of Valley View Lane. These are part of a vanishing America landmark and not often modeled in any scale.

www.model-railroad-hobbyist.com will open a whole new world of model railroading to Frisco Folks who donĀ“t already know about this neat on-line publication. Sure would be a great place to show your Frisco modeling skills and introduce more model railroaders to our Frisco!
