Cool! Great idea on the trim film. Now we just need to find how they actually used these cars (1808-1809-1810).

PS: Paul, what is the Microscale stock number for that trim film?

For my purposes, I am just going to use it as though it were any old chair car. I don't know if that's right or not, but I do know it was restricted to coach service, so it is at least plausible.

    It is TF-26.

BTW, I applied this right over the factory lettering. In this case, this was a car with "PULLMAN" in the letterboard, but no name.

Thanks for the number. The pictures I posted were the only ones I'd ever seen of 1809. A couple when they were stored at Tulsa and another after they were retired. I'd like to find a consist with (Any of) those cars in it. I'm sure they were used as extras, maybe something else with turn up later...

Paul (And others)--Your Microscale trim film suggestion might also answer the question of what to do for the anti-glare areas on the upper noses of the Frisco black and yellow F's, FA's and FP-7's. Pullman green or a similar dark green color.

Paul, it's a swell looking model. I'm particularly fond of your basic heavyweight, Pullman green car. The underbody details just add to the bulk, and the partial air ducts on the roof of the sleepers makes them all that more visually interesting.

    Best Regards,

Yardmaster Chris--You may not be aware what is becoming available these days in the way of N scale passenger cars. There are superb off the shelf models now from MicroTrains (HW Pullmans), Wheels Of Time (70' baggage cars), Intermountain/Centralia Car Shops/Des Plaines Hobbies (Smooth side, streamline lightweight sleepers and coaches with lighting) and Rapido Trains (Also LW sleepers and coaches with lighting). The MicroTrains HW Pullmans, by just having steps and body mount couplers zooms them past most everything that came before including imported brass like Pecos River etc.
