Looking back over some notes, I came across the consists for the aforementioned trains , Nos 806 and 801 respectively, as listed in an accident report attached from 8/16/1922.

    The consists:

    No 806 "Memphian"
    1109 - 4-6-0 locomotive
    393 - Baggage Car
    349 - Baggage Car
    63 - Mail Car
    755 - Coach
    1701 - Coach
    "Rupert" - Pullman Sleeper
    "Graniphan" - Pullman Sleeper
    100 - Frisco Business Car

    No 801 "Memphis Express"
    613 - 4-6-0 Locomotive
    415 - Express Car
    31 - Mail Car
    321 - Baggage Car
    960 - Coach
    1027 - Coach
WAB 2 - Wabash Official Car
    609 - Diner-Buffet

I'd have to presume that the Frisco business car was for officials travelling overnight from Memphis to St. Louis for an early-morning arrival. The Wabash official car's presence on a foreign road is intriguing to me.

Also noticeable is the absence of a diner-buffet on "Memphian." Not surprising considering that most passengers would be presumably asleep on the overnight run.

I'll look forward to any other observations that others may have.

Thus as we practice in the model world, it is necessary for all members of the train crew; Conductor, Engineer, and Fireman to read and understand their orders when operating under Timetable & Train Orders.
