    Work is progressing again on 3744. Lots to be done here, new firebox, finish tender, do all the piping and so

    What make did you start with? Why does the boiler and cab sit so high above the frame?
    Is this normal?

    It started life as a Fujiyama Northern Pacific 0-6-0. It looks high because there's no firebox under it yet. The 3740s sat kind of high to begin with.

    Thanks, Don ... I did not even notice that the firebox was missing. Eeeek!
    Still looks very top heavy.
