Thanks Paul. You have certainly given me a good start on the finer points of passenger cars with the threads posted. The photos will greatly help. Joe
Trainworx announced six road numbers for Frisco of their new N Scale PS2CD 4427cu ft covered hopper. http://www.train-worx.com/15-5ps4427.pdf
Does anybody know when these prototype hopper cars were built?? The Trainworx web page doesn't show a date beside the Frisco car?? Thanks, Tom G.
Tom - I just took a quick look, there may be more, but: SLSF 81200-81349, Pullman Std, 1964 SLSF 81350-81424, Pullman Std, 1965 SLSF 79000-79299, Pullman Std, 1967 SLSF 79300-79499, Pullman Std, 1971 Ken
Tom and all, I emailed Pat Sanders with Trainworx to find out what the road numbers and prototype build dates are on their Frisco hoppers: Cars 79006, 79043 and 79070 were built in May 1967 Cars 79326, 79418 and 79475 were built in March 1971 Joe
It's been several months since this thread was last posted on May 12th. Have there been any new Frisco N scale models in stores in the last year? Joe
BLI Frisco E8s have been delivered. There was another MTL boxcar released in August ( I think it was August.... ) Athearn announced PS-1 boxcars in Frisco paint ( 3 numbers ) Athearn announced open autoracks in Frisco paint ( 3 numbers ) I think someone mentioned all of these elsewhere. Paul
Thank you Paul and Charlie, I will post a new matrix after it's updated. The last time was back in August of 2014, so it's been awhile and way too slow. Joe
I really don't like the preorder system but know it's probably a smart business idea. If only they would release some of the models that were announced a least once a year. Far too many announcements go by the wayside. Should we start some kind of petition to send to model manufacturing companies so we can voice our opinions? Especially models that already have tooling and the only thing needed is graphics or road numbers which we could supply. Some of the request presented in the past have been released. The Micro-Trains tank cars come to mind. Please voice your opinion on the matter. Joe
Charlie, how many Frisco models do you have now? Would you please post a new roster update for your collection? I looked over my matrix yesterday and have noticed there hasn't been a new release for quite awhile. It's been a long time since I bought a new model, last time was one of the tank cars. Joe
I do need to update my spreadsheet. I just haven't had time to do it. I hope to do it soon though and will post it when I do. Charlie
No hurry, I know you have been very busy! Just be sure to take some time to enjoy something beside Frisco, the website and your job. Joe
Below is an updated roster I just compiled from the other rosters and new release info. I hope you find it useful. Please let me know if there are any omissions or updates. Thanks
