    Hello,

Several years ago I started collecting Frisco N scale equipment and to keep track of my invetory created a roster matrix. I then added road numbers that I did not have, to search train shows and e-bay. It has grown into a completely different aspect of modeling. My goal has been to catalog any N scale Frisco equipment that has been produced. The attachment is what I have currently identified.

I wish to give a special Thank You to Larry Shankles and Charlie Dix for giving me permission to use data from their rosters to update my matrix. This data will increase the matrix by approximatly fifty items. I am meshing the three rosters at this time and will post it soon.

    Thank You,
    Joe Lovett

    Hello,

Sunday I finished adding the information provided by Charlie Dix and Larry Shankles. Thank You guys!
Modelers please search your rosters and closets for missing data or items to add. I started N scale in 1984 and remember a SW1500 in Frisco paint. My white whale has been a Trix boxcar with road number 126053, 120053 or 76053. The printing is very poor. I believe it is a single item but have not be able to verify.
Anyone who can help with data for this list, your time is greatly appreciated!
Finally may I recieve your feedback on how you feel about this Frisco N Scale Road Number matrix?

    Thank You,
    Joe Lovett

Joe, I tried to rearrange my columns to match yours. Not quite, but you can check MFG, Stock and Rd # to see if I have any differents or numbers. I didn't see Industrial as a MFG on your list. I think I heard once whose molds they use(D) but don't remember.
I'd be happy visit offline about cars and locos. I have a bunch of box cars to renumber. I will be at Dave Solamon's Friday and at the clinics Saturday.

Here's my roster in both .xls and .pdf. I've added a couple of things since the last update.

    Hi,

It's time to post the next N scale releases data. The only really new item is auto rack, road number 42460, by Rivarossi. Strange it has exactly the same car load as the Atlas auto rack. Seems like both companies had assembly lines in the same room with a big box of automobles in the middle. But one was built in Europe and the other the U.S. as far as I know.
The remaining changes are mostly updated info on several cars.
Again, Please send me any infromation you have to help improve this list.

    Thank You,
    Joe

It would probably have to be a "Horribly Oversized" list! There's a LOT of HO stuff out there. You'd probably do better with a Walthers catalog.

    Hi,

Thank You for the compliments on the N scale list!

Please send me feedback on anything that you can suggest on how to impove the list.

You guys talking about a HO list. 2006 was a slow year for the N scale items, so... you probably guessed by now, there is a start. In about two weeks and 85 items I gave up. HO dates back to at least the 1930's or more and when I saw everything from cardboard cutouts to all the brass and companies involved, found that I did not know a thing about HO. Oh, there is a Z scale list too. If you would like I can post them.

    Thanks again guys,
    Joe

I have updated my .xls and .pdf files this morning. I did forget to note the road number of the other T.O.F.C. car if someone has that handy. I am not at home at the moment where my N Scale collection is. :)

My roster just reached piece number...

    200!
Now, if I just had a layout. But, when I do, it will be all Frisco.

Here's an updated Excel spreadsheet showing some new releases.

If anyone knows of items I do not have, let me know. I am not competing with Joe's list, I am searching for products that I do not have.

Intermountain wasn't going to release a b/y FP-7 (And F-7B/F-9B) in N scale because the HO version didn't sell enough??? And they didn't release O/W FP-7/F-7B engines because there weren't enough "reserservations???" Kind of a funny way to do business. As a N scaler, I'm irked that they let HO sales govern N scale releases--HO modelers should be miffed that they have to have "subscriptions" to release a model in their scale. I'm still mad that they blew me off when I offered photos, diagrams and specs (Free!) for the N scale FP-7's in Frisco and M-K-T original paint schemes. I'm probably done spending my Yankee dollars with Intermountain...

Athearn's website is showing a 50' boxcar release in May 2010 with three road & stock numbers: 12015 ATH22201, 12028 ATH22202 & 12039 ATH22203. Sure hope Athearn doesn't back out of production like Intermountain.
